Cookie Notice

Version 1.0 (English) · Effective from 13 July 2026
Related documents: Terms and Conditions · Privacy Notice

About this English version. This is the English-language version of the Hungarian Cookie Tájékoztató and follows it in substance. Where a genuine discrepancy of meaning arises between the two versions, and you are a consumer, the interpretation more favourable to you applies.

1. What is a cookie, and what does this notice cover?

A cookie is a small piece of data stored in your browser or on your device. It can support login, the shopping cart, security, settings, usage statistics or advertising measurement.

Local storage, pixels, SDKs, tags and other online identifiers can serve a similar purpose. This notice refers to all of them together as “cookie technologies”.

This notice applies to the following surfaces:

The controller is:

Tibor Szántai, sole trader
Simon István utca 4/2, 4033 Debrecen, Hungary
info@genmarketer.hu

2. Cookie categories

2.1. Strictly necessary

Without these the requested website, login, cart, checkout, security, load balancing or cookie settings would not work properly. We do not ask for consent to use them, but we use them only for the necessary purpose and period.

2.2. Functional

These remember convenience choices such as language, display or an earlier setting. Where the feature is not strictly necessary for the requested service, we activate it only after consent.

2.3. Analytics

These help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages work well, and where there is a technical or user problem. This may include Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. The legal basis for using them is prior consent.

2.4. Marketing

These support campaign source, conversion and advertising attribution and — depending on the external platform’s settings — personalised advertising. This may include Google Ads, the Meta Pixel and certain OptiMonk features. The legal basis for using them is prior consent.

3. How we ask for and handle consent

3.1. Active, prior consent is required for non-strictly-necessary analytics and marketing cookie technologies. Consent cannot follow merely from continued use of the site, scrolling, closing a banner or a pre-ticked switch.

3.2. Where a cookie panel is available on the GENmarketer surface concerned, at least the necessary, analytics and marketing categories can be managed separately on it. Accepting and refusing must be equally understandable and equally easy to reach.

3.3. Where the cookie panel provides a “Cookie settings” link, you can change or withdraw your choice there at any time. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser at any time, as described in section 7.

3.4. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing, but with the appropriate technical configuration it prevents the category from loading in future. Cookies already placed may also need to be deleted from the browser.

3.5. Where a consent management system is in operation, it may process the consent identifier, the categories chosen, the banner version and the timestamp in order to demonstrate consent. As a general rule we keep these until the consent expires or is withdrawn, and then for the period needed to enforce claims, for a maximum of five years.

3.6. A material change of cookies, purposes or providers may require fresh consent.

4. Currently known cookies and technologies

The tables show the technologies known at the time of writing. A cookie does not necessarily appear on every domain or in every browser. Providers may change names and lifetimes; the current scan list shown in the consent panel supplements this notice.

4.7. Embedded content

YouTube, Vimeo, social media or other embeds may set third-party cookies. Such content may load only after the corresponding consent, or a privacy-enhanced, click-to-activate solution must be used.

5. What data may be generated?

Depending on configuration, cookie technologies may process:

Detailed purposes, legal bases, recipients and data subject rights are set out in the Privacy Notice.

6. Third parties and international transfers

Google, Meta, Microsoft, Stripe and other global providers may process data outside the EEA. The possible safeguards for such transfers — for example an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or SCCs — are described in the Privacy Notice.

Providers’ own notices:

7. Browser settings

In addition to the cookie panel, you can delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking in the browser may also stop strictly necessary functions — such as login, cart or checkout — from working.

We take account of Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals to the extent the services used are technically capable of it, but this does not in every case replace a choice made in the cookie panel.

8. Rights and contact

Where cookie processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. You have the right to request access, rectification, erasure and restriction and — subject to the conditions — data portability, and to lodge a complaint.

Contact: info@genmarketer.hu

Detailed rights and the contact details of the Hungarian supervisory authority are set out in the Privacy Notice.

9. Changes

We update the cookie list when a new tool, tag, campaign, plugin or provider change occurs. Where a consent panel is in operation, we keep its current scan list and this document consistent with each other.

Where there is a material change of purpose or a new category, we ask for fresh consent. The version and effective date are shown at the top of the page.
